Health First were initially using a desktop accounting system. We migrated them onto Xero and other add-on partners to enable us to work with them on a more timely basis.

Health First is a Community Interest Company (CIC) limited by guarantee that provides specialised healthcare services to benefit the patient population registered with General Practices of Ashton, Leigh and Wigan and residents and workers in the Wigan Borough and surrounding areas.

They provide NHS Health Checks for Wigan Public Health Department and deliver the Seasonal Flu Vaccinations programme to Wigan Council staff, Wigan and Leigh Hospice Staff and all local authority care home staff. They also provide seasonal flu vaccinations in local business which reduces the economic cost of ill health in lost production and welfare costs in the workplace due to sickness.

Their main focus is to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in the local community. They aim to identify possible health issues in residents before they become life changing and this in turn will reduce the costs for the NHS in prescribed medicines, hospital stays and further treatment. During the covid pandemic they assisted with the set up and running of the local covid clinics. Their CQC inspection rated them as outstanding in this area.
